Every year, we commemorate the anniversary of The House of Refuge Church of God in Christ, reflecting on the incredible blessings, growth, and challenges we’ve experienced together. Our 16th anniversary is a special time to honor the past and look forward to the future.

Foundation (2008)
On July 13, 2008, The House of Refuge was founded with a mission to evangelize, educate, and provide refuge for those seeking spiritual solace.
A New Home (2012)
In 2012, we were blessed with our current location at 8912 Homestead Road, Houston, Texas, which has become a place of spiritual growth and community for our congregation.
Rebuilding After Hurricane Harvey (2017)
The impact of Hurricane Harvey was deeply felt by our church, but God provided through the generosity of the Samaritan’s Purse Foundation, which granted us $150,000 for rebuilding efforts. We emerged stronger, reaffirmed in our mission, and ready to serve our community with renewed faith.
