Our Ministry
Our ministries serve as the hands and feet of Jesus, meeting diverse needs within and beyond our church.
The House of Refuge C.O.G.I.C. offers a variety of ministries to empower and support our congregation and the broader community. Through these ministries, we aim to live out God’s command to love and serve one another. There is a place for everyone to get involved, make a difference, and grow in faith.
Men’s Ministry
A fellowship of faith-driven men committed to spiritual growth, mentorship, and support. The Men’s Ministry provides a platform for men to learn, encourage, and empower one another to lead Christ-centered lives, both at home and within the community
Women’s Ministry
Our Women’s Ministry creates a nurturing environment for women to connect, share, and grow spiritually. Through gatherings, events, and prayer groups, women are encouraged to strengthen their relationship with God and with each other, building bonds that uplift and inspire.
Youth and Young Adult Ministry
Designed for our younger members, this ministry aims to instill strong faith foundations through fun, engaging activities and meaningful discussions. Our youth are mentored by caring adults who guide them in navigating life’s challenges and growing in their faith.
Outreach Ministry
The Outreach Ministry extends our church’s mission beyond our walls, actively reaching out to those in need. Whether through community events, local partnerships, or direct support to individuals, we are dedicated to sharing God’s love with everyone we meet.
Jailhouse Ministry
We believe that God’s grace can reach everyone, everywhere. Our Jailhouse Ministry serves individuals who are incarcerated, offering spiritual guidance, support, and hope through the Word of God.
Nursing Home Ministry
Bringing comfort, companionship, and encouragement to residents in nursing homes, this ministry serves as a lifeline of love and hope to those who may feel isolated or forgotten.
Feeding the Community Program
Committed to addressing food insecurity, this program provides nourishing meals to those in need within our community. Through donations and volunteer support, we work to ensure that no one goes hungry.

Every year, we commemorate the anniversary of The House of Refuge Church of God in Christ, reflecting on the incredible blessings, growth, and challenges we’ve experienced together. Our 16th anniversary is a special time to honor the past and look forward to the future.

Wednesday Night Bible Study
7:00 PM
Midweek Bible Study offers a deeper dive into scripture, allowing us to explore God’s Word together. Pastor Lovings leads interactive sessions where we discuss and learn practical ways to apply biblical teachings to our lives.
